HALF - Half Speed On Demand

"Hold it for one bar. Nobody has to know it wasn't tracked that way."

Press and hold and playback drops to half speed for exactly as long as you hold it. The readout sits at 1.00X and snaps to 0.50X the moment it engages, so you always see what the engine is doing. RATE sets how long the change takes - snap it to 10ms for a hard instant drop, or open it to 2 seconds for a slow tape-style wind down that bends the whole bar on its way there. Switch RATE between 24 tempo-locked note values and free milliseconds with the toggle beside it, and use the side's own MIX to sit a halftime ghost under the dry track instead of replacing it.

REVD - Reverse That Actually Reverses

"Not a reversed sample. A tape running the other way."

Most reverse plugins flip a buffer and play it back, so it starts backwards instantly and never sounds like tape. REVD ramps the playback rate from +1 through zero to -1, passing through a momentary full stop on the way round - exactly like a reel changing direction. The arrows flip from >>> to <<< as it turns. Short ramps snap it; long ramps give you the whole decelerate-stop-rewind arc in one gesture. RATE and MIX work independently from the HALF side, so the two engines never have to agree - and holding both in quick succession is the classic tape-stop-into-rewind fill in a single take.
